Building Stronger Futures, Together.
The Wellington Fitness Community Trust: Where health, culture, and community unite for lasting impact.
“Every journey begins with a vision. Ours is a Wellington where every individual, particularly our rangatahi, thrives with confidence, health, and a deep sense of belonging.”
Our Foundation & Purpose
Born from a Passion for Community Well-being.
The Wellington Fitness Community Trust was established by a group of dedicated community leaders who recognised a critical need. We saw the transformative power of fitness, not just for physical health, but as a catalyst for social connection, mental resilience, and personal growth. Our founding principle, enshrined in our Trust Deed, is to remove barriers and create equitable access to well-being for all, especially for our rangatahi and vulnerable communities across the Wellington region.
Our kaupapa defines every aspect of our work.
We are committed to:
01
Hauora
Integrating the four dimensions: taha tinana (physical), taha hinengaro (mental/emotional), taha whānau (social), and taha wairua (spiritual)
02
Inclusivity & Accessibility
Ensuring all programmes are breaking down financial, geographical, and cultural barriers, welcoming everyone regardless of background or ability.
03
Community-Led
Empowering local leaders and responding to the unique needs of each community we serve, fostering a deep sense of whānau.
04
Impact & Accountability
Delivering measurable outcomes and operating with transparency and integrity to ensure every contribution makes a tangible difference.

Making a Difference, One Community at a Time.
WFCT delivers high-trust, community-led fitness and well-being initiatives designed to build long-term resilience. We partner with local schools, community centres, and youth groups to embed our programmes where they are most needed.
